On the occasion of the 105th anniversary of Imre Kálmán's birth, a museum was opened in Siófok on October 22, 1987, in his birthplace. The world-renowned operetta composer was born here on October 24, 1882.

The exhibition in the ground-floor rooms of the birthplace showcases Imre Kálmán as a person, the important milestones of his career, and interesting events from his private life. Over the past decades, the exhibition has been enriched with several valuable objects and documents. This is thanks to the composer's widow, Vera Kálmán (1910-1999), his two children, Yvonne (1936-) and Charles (1929-2015), and his relatives in Hungary.

The atmosphere of the era and the composer's work are evoked not only by the exhibited objects but also by the operettas heard in the rooms.

The upper floor of the Kálmán Imre Memorial House houses an art gallery. Visitors can view temporary exhibitions featuring works by Hungarian artists.
